all quiet

...on the blogging front.

Know, then, that the opposite is true on the home front.  :-)

Autumn here, suddenly.
Snow highlights the mountain peaks cutting clean in the azure sky.
The aspen
and the ash
and the locusts are aflame.
'Tis time for sweaters
and tea
and tights under Sunday skirts.

Eli was baptized on Sunday morning, September 23.

Are infants also to be baptized?
Yes: for since they, as well as the adult, are included in the covenant and church of God; and since redemption from sin by the blood of Christ, and the Holy Ghost, the author of faith, is promised to them no less than to the adult; they must therefore by baptism, as a sign of the covenant, be also admitted into the Christian church; and be distinguished from the children of unbelievers as was done in the old covenant or testament by circumcision, instead of which baptism is instituted in the new covenant.  ~Heidelberg Catechism, Q&A 74

B.J.'s Mom and grandparents arrived the day before and stayed 'til the following Friday.  We enjoyed our week with Grammy and Great Grandpa and Grandma!

Now for some random photos...

Naptime!  (Hey, you need naps when you've got a newborn in the house!  :-)

Nath and Sunny
Marie and Nathan play together really well while Leah and Will are at school.  Thisparitcular morning they had a blast running through the sprinkler (with their clothes on! Marie couldn't quite get over that - she even had to announce it to the checkout clerk at King Soopers: "Know what?  My mom lets us run through the sprinkler with our clothes on!" :)

Here are those two handsome boys again - this time wide awake!

Ever been to a remote-control airplane show?  Welcome to Warbirds over the Rockies, an annual event where remote-control airplane enthusiasts fly models of aircraft from past wars, simulating battles, etc.  What a beautiful Saturday to spend outside!

Nathan didn't care for the "bombings."  Zach drew him a silly face to cheer him up.  Thanks, Zach!  :-)

Eli smiles.

Need I mention this?  Willem was in his element.

Not every baby has a princess (or is it a fairy) for a big sister!

Karl's here!  (He's Leah's semi-weekly ride to and from school.  :-)

Two bare boys.
And more musings to come soon...
